We're a mutual aid organization supporting and uplifting community-led work that shares our values. These initiatives are independently organized. We’re community taking care of community, outside the systems that were never going to save us anyway.

Communities Rising is about helping individuals discover “what is yours to do” as, collectively, we build a movement that works toward a more just world. We center on continuity of connection, via in-person Gatherings where we teach, learn, collaborate, and co-inspire. We are in Phinneywood, Ballard, Green Lake, and NE Seattle.

SEI builds progressive power in South King County, organizes advocacy, volunteer, and educational opportunities to stand with and support communities targeted by the un-American policies of the Trump administration, and plans direct action to fight for democracy and a more progressive future.
