We seek to research, plan, and lead a local, Democratic, non-violent resistance that defends our community, our liberties, and our democracy.

We organize to resist the exploitative economy that fosters fossil fuel expansion, funding and continued degradation of eco-systems with a focus on systemic change through nonviolent direct action. SEI builds progressive power in South King County, organizes advocacy, volunteer, and educational opportunities to stand with and support communities targeted by the un-American policies of the Trump administration, and plans direct action to fight for democracy and a more progressive future.
